Simple Skincare Routine
· (1 MIN READ)

Want a simple skincare routine but not sure what skin type you have?
Do this test:
- Wash your face with an unscented gentle soap, then pat dry (don't add any products to your face either)
- Determine if your skin gets...
- Shiny (whole face) = Oily Skin
- Semi-Shiny (cheeks & "T-zone") = Combination Skin
- Dry/Rough = Dry Skin
- N/A (neither of the above) = Normal Skin
Now that you know, enjoy researching the best products for you!
Here is a great beginner's skincare routine:
DAILY
Daily AM
- Cleanser
- Toner
- Moisturizer
- SPF
- Optional: Makeup
Daily PM
- Cleanser
- Optional: Makeup Remover
- Toner
- Optional: Spot Treatment
- Moisturizer
WEEKLY
- Exfoliator
- Mask
And a great way to really get these products to work well with your skin is to use beauty tools.
GENERAL TIPS
- Wash face at least 1x a day
- Don't scrub with harsh exfoliants
- Don't pick or pop at your pimples
- Wash/Change beauty tools frequently (makeup brushes, pillow cases, etc)
- Look for "non-comedogenic" products (aka "won't clog pores")
- Avoid harsh ingredient irritants (i.e. alcohol and SLS/sulfates)
- Keep oil from your scalp/hair off of your face (especially at night)
